Farm Wars
1) What do Codex Alimentarius with its official food standards, the fluoridation of our water and food supply, genocide at the Auschwitz concentration camp, and Monsanto, the company responsible for genetically altering the world’s food supply all have in common? Is there a connection that binds these seemingly diverse organizations together? Yes, there is. In fact, they are so inextricably bound that separating them is all but impossible.

Let’s start at the beginning with Auschwitz and connect the dots. >.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.

2)
The Monsanto Connection
Monsanto, Cargill, BASF, Bayer, and Aventis (or I.G. Farben) are all in partnership under the banner of Crop Science. They are partnered in various ways, such as:
BASF Plant Science and Monsanto to expand their collaboration in maximizing crop yield.
Monsanto, Bayer team up on herbicide tolerance
Mergers and acquisitions
Monsanto and Cargill team up

3) What is “universal” salt fluoridation?
“Universal” salt fluoridation means that all salt destined for human consumption is fluoridated - not just the “salt in the shaker on the table”. This situation exists in numerous cantons in Switzerland, as well as many countries in South America.
Jamaica, Costa Rica, Columbia are all countries with such “universal” salt fluoridation.
“Universal” salt fluoridation is now described as the “ideal situation” by dental public health experts (Marthaler, 2000).
“Universal” salt fluoridation is being set up through legal channels. It is being mandated on national levels. (For guidelines drafted in 2001, affecting countries in South America, please click here )
4) Does fluoridated salt cost more?
No. In many countries the price of salt is set by law, and fluoridated salt is usually no more expensive than other salt. In Switzerland it is sold under a slight subsidy, making its selling price just a bit lower than other salt (Yewe-Dyer, 2002).
   Fluoridated salt is aggressively

Bayer Co. mired in rice contamination scandal, seeks new markets
Posted: 11 October 2006
This company has no shame. While US rice farmers scramble to deal with widespread GM contamination from Bayer CropScience's GM rice, in Asia, the German-based chemical company is planning to expand its hybrid rice seed business.

On August 18 the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that trace amounts of an unapproved GM rice variety engineered by Bayer were found in rice storage bins in the states of Arkansas and Missouri. The news led to an immediate collapse in markets for US rice. "This is real money that farmers are losing," Arkansas Rice Growers Association executive director Greg Yielding told Reuters.

Sherry Rowlands, the suddenly famous Virginia call girl, is taking all the credit for the downfall of presidential adviser Dick Morris. She says the Republicans had nothing to do with it.
"The only person in the world I knew politically was Dick Morris," she told the syndicated tabloid show "Hard Copy" in her first television interview. "Who do you call? I mean . . . you don't go in the phone book and look up Bob Dole." The two-part "Hard Copy" interview is scheduled to air on Baltimore's Channel 2 tonight and tomorrow night at 12:05 a.m. .
As for Morris's downfall, Rowlands said: "Someone as intelligent as he is should have kept his lip buttoned when he unzipped his pants. I mean, how can you maneuver worlds, and he can't even control what he's doing in his own room with a paid lady?"

Others named in these phone logs were Bill Clinton’s former advisor Dick Morris, along with Harlan K. Ullman, the man who came up with “shock and awe.”

Dick Morris behavior and why it is tolerated
To be sure, Mr. Morris, the former chief political strategist for President Clinton, hasn't gotten off scot-free. He was forced to resign in disgrace after the tabloid Star reported that for a year he had retained Sherry Rowlands as a $200-an-hour call girl, allowing her to listen in on phone conversations with the President and to have advance looks at speeches by Vice President Al Gore and Hillary Rodham Clinton. But beyond making Mr. Morris and Ms. Rowlands the butt of jokes, virtually everyone -- prosecutors, the taxman, feminists, Mr. Clinton -- seems willing to give them a pass.

WASHINGTON (RNS) When Sen. David Vitter admitted in 2007 to a "very serious sin" after his phone number appeared on the list of a Washington escort service, the "family values" Louisiana Republican's political career was suddenly on life support.

The man who had made his name decrying public corruption and demanding that President Bill Clinton resign for lying about an affair with a White House aide was forced to confess to using the services of prostitutes.

A jury in Washington convicted Palfrey of money laundering and racketeering last month. Palfrey's lawyer, who represented Monica Lewinsky during the impeachment of President Bill Clinton, argued that she marketed legal fantasies and was unaware that her employees sold sex. She was due for sentencing in July and faced a sentence of around five years.

William H. Ginsburg wikipedia
William H. Ginsburg is an American lawyer, best known for representing former White House intern Monica Lewinsky in her controversy regarding sexual activities with then-President Bill Clinton in 1998.[1]
Ginsburg, whose Los Angeles, California-based practice had previously concentrated on medical malpractice, was a friend of the Lewinsky family. Ginsburg represented Lewinsky for four months, before being replaced with Plato Cacheris and Jake Stein in June.
Ginsburg was also involved in the case of the death of college basketball star Hank Gathers, as well as the legal dispute over the remains of entertainer Liberace and the landmark Meneeley v. National Spa & Pool Institute case over diving injuries in a sub-standard swimming pool.[2]
In more recent times, Ginsburg's name has been connected to a slang term that is derived from a feat he accomplished on February 1, 1998. On that day, he appeared on all five of television's major Sunday-morning interview shows, the first person known to have done so. The feat is now known as the "Full Ginsburg".[3]

The Colorful Case of A Well-Named LawyerMontgomery Blair Sibley's Current Client Isn't the Juiciest Part of His Story

Montgomery Blair Sibley, attorney for the morally impugned and legally challenged, is first and foremost Montgomery Blair Sibley, which is to say a descendant of some of the most powerful families in Washington history. Various relatives served as Lincoln's postmaster, or established Blair House, or governed Maryland or founded the Western Union Telegraph Co., or, before we forget, pretty much created Montgomery County's suburbs (yes, a Silver Spring high school bears his first two names).
Now, because his most prominent client of the moment is an alleged madam who is said to possess the names of 10,000 Washington clients, some of whom are alleged to be high-profile, he is also a busy, busy lawyer.
There are other concerns in his life, too.
While this 50-year-old scion of the highborn has recently been suggesting that he could make public the names of the 10,000 in order to protect his client Deborah Jeane Palfrey, he had to pay less attention to urgent business in two other places.
One was Florida, where the state bar was seeking to yank his license for at least two years. He was found guilty in absentia (in part for being a "vexatious litigant") and now faces suspension if not disbarment. "He is someone who abuses the legal process," says Barnaby Min, counsel for the Florida Bar.
The second was in Montgomery County, where he was to stand trial for failing to pay $11,218.20 in past-due rent on office space in Gaithersburg for a tiny shipping-crate company he heads. That trial was continued.

  • Orrick’s Preston Burton: From Monica to the D.C. Madam

lewinskyA decade ago, Orrick’s Preston Burton represented Monica Lewinsky in the investigation of President Clinton by Kenneth Starr and in the impeachment proceedings before the U.S. Senate. Today, he’s representing Deborah Jeane Palfrey, a woman accused of operating a call-girl ring inside the Beltway. Palfrey says she was running an adult fantasy business and her escorts were not engaged in prostitution.
How did he come to represent Palfrey, whom the media has labeled the D.C. Madam? Several weeks ago, I was minding my own business on a Friday, and Judge Gladys Kessler called me up and asked me if I was willing to take a court appointment in that case, Burton told Corporate Crime Reporter. “And after checking with the powers that be here at Orrick, who were all very supportive, I agreed to do it. And we are in the midst of that right now. (Click here for a Law Blog post on her colorful civil attorney, Montgomery Blair Sibley.)
The CCR spoke with Burton about his more-mainstream clients — alleged white-collar criminals. He told them that when it comes to corporate criminal investigations, he bemoans the free the corporation, blame the individual dynamic he’s witnessed the past few years. But now, instead of companies throwing their employees under the bus to resolve a government probe, Burton sees a shift.
Now you have some companies who are not immediately rolling over and waiving the attorney-client privilege,” he told the CCR. “You are seeing some subtle signs of companies standing behind their people more than they were four or five years ago, when there was a rush to locate the rogue employees, throw them under the bus, distance themselves, and try and dust yourself off and start all over again.”

    Greetings:
I am the civil attorney for Deborah Jeane Palfrey, a/k/a “The D.C. Madam”, and write to remind that for over one hundred (100) days, she and I have been enjoined from releasing the telephone records of her escort service. That ex parte order was entered on March 22, 2007, upon the Court’s finding that there were “reasonable grounds to believe that harassment of an identified witness exists or that such an order is necessary to prevent such harassment.” The Court then ordered that neither Jeane nor I “shall release, further distribute, or otherwise provide to any person or organization the phone records of Pamela Martin & Associates and/or the phone records of Deborah Jeane Palfrey.”
